ok so i have no idea how long my truck has been sitting.... it might have some old gas in the tank.... what do i do about that? can i jsut add new gas and hope it mixes? should i drain it? what if its jellified? if i drain it, how can i dispose of it safely/legally?

:2cents: If it has been sitting for less than a year or so, just run it as is and mix some new fuel with it. I've ran my motorcycle on gas that sat in it all winter w/o any problems. My dad has run our tractor on gas that was at least two years old w/o any problems also.

i think my truck has been sitting around 3-4 years!

the gas in my spare tank has been in there since 08/06

Wow, that's a long time. I'd probably try to siphon out the fuel in the tank, or pull the tank and clean it out. As far as disposal, here in Utah I'd just take it out in the country and make a heck of a bonfire. That might not be an option for you since you live in Cali.
