Ok, so I made the mistake of putting 2 1/2" lift shackles on my 1997 2.7L standard cab and left the stock leaf springs on. Well, now the leaf springs sit with almost no arc to them at all. Do you think I should get rid of the shackles and put heavy duty leaf springs in, or keep the shackles and just upgrade the leaf springs. And what kind of leaf springs do you recommend for me to get?
~~Thanks~~

2.5" shackles! I'd recommend you ditch the shackles for maybe some 1.5" at the most, maybe just 1" and then have your springs rearched (while at the same time having a new additional spring added) to whatever amount of lift you want.
(ie, 1.5" rearched springs + 1.5" shackles - the springs would settle back down to 1" or so)

Or just get some 3rd gen (98-95) Toy Truck springs and the 1.5" shackles, which should come out to about the same lift you had before your springs sagged.

Either way definitely ditch the 2.5" shackles.
