Thanks to everyone who came out and made this another great trip!!!

I don't know about you all, but I had a great time, and that section through Afton Canyon was a hell of a lot of FUN!!!!!

Sorry to Dr. Ned, you just had freakish bad luck with the tires, but it happens to all of us, that's why you go with a group of people like this, so if something doe's happen, you're not by yourself!!
Thanks to all who assisted with getting Dr. Ned back on the road.

I haven't heard from Jon yet, but I'm sure he made it back home to LA okay.

Also, thanks to Jon and Carl for getting the spot that I wanted, before someone else got it.

I hope everyone enjoyed my favorite area. My next big trip out there is Our Toyota120 2nd Annual Mojave Road trip in September. This will be a three (3) day trip, and starts at mile marked 0.0 on the Colorado River down the street from the Avi Casino, and across from Fort Mojave AZ. and goes all the way to the Afton Canyon campground.

Don't give me shit for not having my pictures up yet,:shame: as I fell asleep last night as soon as I sat down it seems like. I'll try and get them up tonight. So everyone else get you photos up too.

So, everyone put down your thoughts of the trip, and if you'll be ready for our 3rd Annual NVTTORA Easter trip to the Mojave next year!:D

Thanks for leading us on this great trip Robert. It really was cool. Afton canyon was fun. I'll have to go back and check it out when I don't have a bunch crap loaded in the back.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this another successfull NVTTORA run with only a couple of minor problems.

I think we need to get Dr. Ned a plaque or something. I believe that might a record. But he seemed to be a good sport about it.

Here are my pictures from the trip

Thanks for the awesome trip Robert! I had a great time and appreciate you putting the trip together.

It was awesome meeting everyone from NVTTORA and will see you guys on future trips. It was a great group of quality people.

On the way home I hit the worst traffice ive ever encountered on the 15. Once I got past Barstow it was about 5-10mph. The truckers on the CB were saying it was like this all the way past the Cajon Pass. I waited 2 and almost fell asleep so i pulled off with all the truckers and slept in my truck til 1:30am and then hauled ass home home.

See you guys soon,

Jon

Holy crap Jon!!  Man, If we would have had a way to know about that traffic nightmare, we could have mapped you out another way home. Could have gone through Mojave and down 395 into San Bernadino, or though Plamdale to I-5, or Kelbaker Road (in the Mojave Preserve) to I-10.

Oh well, ta least you got home okay, and you got some sleep on top of it all!!
I'm glad you had a great time. I really like it when people have fun on my trips. I, as you know by now, really put a lot of thought and planning in to my trips, so as everyone has Maximum FUN!!:D

Anytime you want to go back out, just give me a call, we can do any portion of the Mojave you want. :p

Great pictures Carl!!
I should have took some of Afton canyon, but since we were hauling ass to get done I didn't want to stop. I still have to work with video. I washed my truck and check everything for damage. No damage to the truck, just some minor damage to my stuff.

Again Thanks Robert.

Damn! Sometimes the 15 sucks. It took us 4 and half hours to get home from Barstow one time.

Man that sucks. Good call on sleeping it off till the traffic cleared up. Ive done the sleeping swerve a few times. We do need to get a fast group together to go thru Mojave Road again. Maybe a day trip?

That was the best trip I have done by far. Thanks you guys for the fun out there.

We should do two trips soon. One weekend would be just camping the next would be just driving. Of coarse we would need many gas cans and tires.... hehe.

But here are my pics

Glad you had fun bro. All of my trips are fun!! It takes a lot of planning to do it right.
Towards the end, we were too pressed for time, and had to cover a lot of ground in a short amount of time. But, it was fun. I'm worried about Ned though, as he was pretty down after the last two blow outs. He hasn't returned my message from last night yet though, so I'll have to try later.

My next scheduled Mojave Road trip is in September. That's our 2nd Annual Toyota120 Mojave Road trip, and is a three (3) day trip, following the entire road (except for Camp Cady, which doesn't exist anymore) from the river to Afton Canyon campground. You have a 120 platform truck, and you're more than welcome to come out. But, you don't need a 120 platform truck to come out and have fun.

Hey Stefan(sp?)-

Awesome pics. Glad you had a great time. I just ordered the AVN5500 today after seeing how bad ass yours was.

I hope some of you guys make the September trip it is like the trip we just did but much better because we have more time to enjoy everything from offroading to campfire time and gives us alot more time to relax and not rush.

I am going to see about maybe planning a trip to the Sierras near Mammoth this summer. I'll be going out there in May to scout some offroad trails. It would include awesome fishing. I fish there 4-6 times a year and know alot about the area.

Cheers,

Jon

That sounds cool too. It's hard to get enough time off for a trip like that in my job, unfortunately. I'll be spending my vacation time in the Mojave Preserve in September (Toy120 trip).

We'll see. Maybe Andries will have the Big Bear Brai 3 this year?!

Man this trip was awesome, probably the most fun I've ever had with my truck. Afton Canyon was amazing, I'm really glad we got to start in the middle at Cima Rd. so we could catch that last part. Thanks for leading Robert!

Elizabeth and I both had tons of fun, and it was really nice meeting all you new folks. I'll post up our pics later once I resize them and get them online.

Come on guys post up your pics........... Give me something to do for the next 9hrs here at work.

Dude, I'm trying. WebShots is all fucked up!! It's taking forever for this stupid site to load up!

It keeps kicking me off, telling me that I'm not hooked up to the Internet, and my LAN is not right yadayadayada.

I have to keep hitting the cancel button for it to start loading again!!

It's like 1 - 3 pictures every time. This shit started happening a while back, and it's making a 10 minute job into a 2 day job.

They'll be up as soon as it takes this shit to work.
