for the archives and anyone searching the forum for this problem in the future

I got a code p1300 the other day, it was my ignition coil going bad due to improper grounding (body lift snapped a ground wire). I made sure the block and body had all of their grounds connected properly and then replaced the coil. After cleaning the spark plugs the truck fired right up and the check engine light went off.

It might just be the theme of the year

well just after the frist of the year i wanted to start working on my truck after it had been sitting for about 6 months. I tired to start it up and it would start up for about 2 seconds then shut off. I ran a dianogstic test and a p1300 and a p1310 came up so i asked around and stumbled here. My question is was it more of a ground issue for you or was it something where the coil was dead and it would be something that i would have to replace. Where was the bad ground for you as well? I moved my batt to the back and that might be part of it i was just curious. Any help would be awesome this is my first post and im a new member. Thank you
