for the archives and anyone searching the forum for this problem in the future
I got a code p1300 the other day, it was my ignition coil going bad due to improper grounding (body lift snapped a ground wire). I made sure the block and body had all of their grounds connected properly and then replaced the coil. After cleaning the spark plugs the truck fired right up and the check engine light went off.
