As with anything else, they have their pro's and con's.TexasTRD said:
To me, more con's than pro's :xbarf:. With that said I have installed a whole
bunch of them. What do you want to know?
If for some strange chance, you decide to get a kit and it comes with washers, do not use them! use your stock washers. But by now you should not have to worry about that problem.
Next problem is you will be retorking bolts for at least the first year after you install the kit. After that you will only have to retork it every six months or so depending on how much you actually wheel.
Then if you retork the body bolts too tight, you will develope cracks around the bolts in the floor board because the pucks are not large enough (wide) and add extra fatigue in the metal.
Other than all that, I have loved my body lift, after all the issues with the steering extention when installing it I have enjoyed having to routinely maintaining the body kit.
[I hope you can detect all the sarcasm in this post. Installing the P.A body lift has been the worst mod I have done to my truck. But I was being honest when saying I have installed a bunch. I have had a hand in installing most (not all) but a whole lot of body lifts in Central Texas, before I moved to where I am now] I actually lost count of all the lifts I help with/or did.
