I was trying to get my hands on some 01-04 OEM flares to replace my white one, and got bored... So I went to Home Depot and got 3 cans of the Plastic Dip spray and attacked my white flares with them.

I am going to see how they hold up until I can find a set of OEM 01 - 04 flares to replace them. Might be worth trying if you have colored match flares likes I did.
Thanks for the info. I used plasti-dip on a tool handle in the past, but you just dunked it in there. Didn't know it came in a spray can too. It is very durable stuff from what I have seen.
Nice job. I thought plasti dip was for dipping objects in to coat. I just used roll on bed liner for my flares. Its a bit more textured but they match my truck bed.
Yeah, I am curious too on how it's going to hold up to daily use. Around Christmas time the tires will look a lot BIGGER because of some bilsteins 5100s to make them fit
Probably pretty good, it's a bit "softer" than most rattle can paints so it should absorb rock chips for a long while before he's gotta peel it off and re-do it. I'd rather re-plastidip something than sand down f#cked up paint. Stuff peels off like a breeze when it needs to!
Hello,
Wondering if anyone knows of someone currently making skids like this for 1st gen Tacoma?
I've reached out to MetalMiller (who made the one in this pic), and it seems that he's no longer around?
Thanks!
I'm looking for a tonneau cover for my new-to-me '03 Extra Cab Straight-side 6.2 ft bed Tacoma. I wish I could just take the one off of my other truck and put it on this one, but the other one is a Step-side so the bed is narrower.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Are they generally universal fit...
Hey all,
I'm researching fender flares right now for my rim and tire set up (See photos). Any thoughts on which brand to go with? Bushwaker 1.75 inch?
Thanks.

Hi,
I have some aluminum skid plates that I want to clear coat. Mainly to prevent brown corrosion.
I want to stick with the bare metal look.
Since this is my first time attacking this, does anyone have any tips or best practices for prepping before applying spray on clearcoat?
Thanks,
Hey guys,
I have a stock 2012 Baja taco double cab, short bed and I was looking to get some rock sliders for it. Im curious if anyone knows any good sliders that stick out a little bit as I would like for them to also protect my car doors from getting dinged by other people! I have looked at...
