I've read on other forums that people have been getting thier tailgates stolen off of 05+ Tacomas. I dont know why Toyota made them so easy to remove because I'm sure they are expensive to replace. I just bought a Pop Lock for my 06 off of ebay (new $42 shipped), took me 30 minutes to install. Looks alright, I hope it works!
