Mine which isnt even close to done. missing my bedsides, the tail lights mounted in the bed, and more triangulation

on jeff's bed, it was originally built to haul around his dirt bikes, so it was a bit longer and wider than ours.
I like Jeff's bed and I should have picked it up when I had that chance too, but oh well. I have a quad that I carry around that my wife likes to ride on, but mostly I just want to be able to haul a bunch of stuff around and not have to worry about screwing up the bed when I wheel it. Eventually, I will exo cage the truck as well, but that won't be for a while. :welder: What kind of material is Jeff's bed made of? It looks like 1.5 inch square tube for the bottom and 1 1/2 inch round tube for the rest. I know I can make the bottom, but as for tube bending, I don't have a bender nor access to one and to have someone fab the whole flat bed for me is going to be like $1500 which the wife won't be too happy about.

Here is one. The other one is on my home computer. Has 2 supports coming down the middle with a tire carrier on it. Kills the view behind, but for a trail only rig, it's fine.

I like that look of this one, but it need more functional usable space. I think the one that AJ built for Jeff is the one I like the best, but last time I checked it was going to be like $1300 for a flat bed like that. I need to learn to use a tube bender. :xcrybaby:

yup, jeff's bed is the one if you need space. it was actually designed to haul around a few motorcycles. most other flatbeds are inset so you only have useable space between the frame rails.
i know i wish i had more room on mine.

Mine's not round tube, but has good space for only being 4 feet long!

I like your design. I too am going with a traditional type design but I want to incorporate boxes into the bed somehow. Do an exo-cage too...

Had a question about your external fuel cell. How much did that run you ?? I have considerd that route...

Why did you choose the fuel cell ??

Thanks !!
