How do I shrink a picture to 19.5KB so I can post it? I took a JPEG, set the resolution at 20 and shrunk it down super small and it's still 98KB. Thanks. ...Steve

Anyone????????
what software do you use? Photoshop has an adjustment that you can do that will resize the image to what you want.

If you like, or don't have photoshop you can email me the image and I can see if I can resize it for you.

here is my email address [email protected]

Thanks for the offer but I need to be able to do it myself. I can post if I host it but can't get it small enough to upload it. I'm using microsoft photo editor and can't install or download other programs because it's a work comp. Cheers. .....Steve

Are you going to be my full time picture resizer? No?

Give a man a fish, feed him today. Teach a man to fish and he can resize his own shit.

I'd email it but it's a nude that I'm using for a personal ad and don't want it circulating on a truck forum.

As long as you're still coming Saturday, I'm dying to get you alone in the mountains for a few hours. Plus, someone has to run the winch line. :xcrybaby:

In Microsoft Photoeditor,

Go to Save As.

Click More>>> in the lower left corner.

Take the slider to the left all the way or as far as it needs to go, and that will reduce the photosize, but distort quality.

Also, resize it to 640 x 480 PIXELS.

Your best bet for high quality pictures is to link them.

Even if you do that I can only get the picture down to about 50KB. Couldn't we just limit the total size of uploads like Delphi did and not put an individual limit on each photo? I can't imagine how small and shitty a 19KB image would be.

Basically the board is jacked and there is NO WAY to actually upload a pic that is 19.5k onto this board. your photo would be like 1/4" big at 5 dpi. You have to link it which is gay, but saves them space on the server.

If you've got photoshop, you can do a pic that's 3.75" wide and 2" tall at 72 dpi (which is screen resolution) by setting the "image quality" to 1 when you save it as a JPG. I've got it uploaded, not I just need to figure out how to include it in my @#$%post!!! : /

Why don't you use MS Paint? Every computer should have it under your Accessories.

Just open it up, go to Image, then Stretch/skew. Adjust in anyway you want.

Here's your picture, down to 13.9. Its hosted by imageshack.us

If you want to have your pictures hosted, use the two links below. I prefer the first one because it looks easier to use.

http://uploads.savefile.com/
http://imageshack.us/

To add a picture to your post, click on the icon that I've circled below. a box will show up, and you can just add the URL in the box.

i do that and in my post window my picture shows up, but when i "submit reply" and look at my post on the actual board the picture isn't there, it's just a link to the picture location. (which is on yahoo photos if that matters). it's driving me crazy i've been trying to post pics forever

Does yahoo host pictures? Some sites won't do that. Which site are you using? I'll try it out and let you know how it goes. :welder:

Use photobuck.com it's super simple to upload your full/original size photos and then it gives the html tag for several different types of uses. And one that works well on msg boards. just copy the html tag and paste it to your reply. preview the post and you'll have nice big pictures none of this 2x2 inch crap. I tired resize in draw, paint, Adobe CS all that stuff and by the time it was the small enough byte size wise it was tooooo small to see anything....use photobuck it works and its easy.
