Wondering if $400 is a good price to pay for a 99 TRD rear axle. Has the electric locker and is from a 4wd (although I don't think they are different from Pre-runner axles). Would cost me about $30 in gas to pick it up, is this a decent price?

$400 is definitely a good price if everything is there and in working order.

With my discount at the dealer salvage yards were still wanting like $1500.00 for a decent axle. I'd say that is an awesome deal if everything is in working condition.
Ever go to Culepepper and hit the yards? Theyre a couple that are very reasonable and have some awsum old iron. One in particular off the main hwy specializes in Jeeps and old muscle cars, they've got cars in the yard that have been theyre since the 50's, the owner calls them his project rebuilders.

Nah, I've never run across it. I don't get over that way a whole lot. Sounds like it might be worth checking out though.
