Yah one of my buddies got his sr5 prerunner for 19k. But I got the exact truck I wanted so im not complaining.damn, 26.5k. now i dont feel so bad that i got mine for 25k . i have the exact same truck as you hoerunner. i know some people got steals for around 22.5 for ac prerunners
Generally speaking dealers make from $1,000-$3,000 or more over cost on new vehicles. But where they make their real money is on used cars.this invoice crap pisses me off.
There is no way that the damn dealer only makes $100 on a truck. No way. All the employees and big fancy building are not paid for making 100 on a sale.
Ive had 4 dealers show me what they said was invoice and all 4 were different prices.
I just got mine this weekend and it sounds like they are not moving to much for you. I got a D-cab Sport, 4x4. Sticker was $30,400. Ended up paying $27,400. In addition they paid just shy of Excellent Private party value (on kbb) for my trade in. If I didn't have that I would bet they would have moved at least a few hundered more, if not more. IMHO, keep shopping you should be able to do better.I'm actually shopping around in NorCal right now, and the best I've come up with is $300 over invoice, which put my 07 6 spd indigo ink pearl trd access cab at 26,200 or so. I know it all added up to just over 28k out the door once tax and all that got added in. I haven't decided if I'm going to go for it or not, it'd be hard to give up my 96 4banger reg cab. Hope this helps. Oh ya, they also gave me 3.9% which would make my payments around $471.
