What's the best way to set belt tension on the PS pump and alternator?
The FSM method uses a belt tension gauge. Is there a good way to do it without a gauge?

Generally speaking you can use your fingers to check the tension. Press the belt down somewhere around the center of the span and make note of the deflection. If the belt can be pushed down more than half an inch or so, you need to adjust the tension higher but don't over do it or you'll start prematurely wearing bearings in the accessory/accessories being driven by the belt. Tight but not too tight.
