because the part of the ignition that you put the key into broke, you can't turn the key to start(the steering wheel isn't locked either). You can only turn the key to accessories. So now i have the dumb thing took apart, so i thought why not replace it w/ something different.

Aftermarket kits (push-button switch + relay) can be found at most major automotive retailers (JC Whitney; Overboost; etc.). Some brand names that come to mind are Pilot and Ignited. Most any momentary switch could be used (so long as its heavy enough for the load). If you want to get more tricky with it, you can find discussion / diagrams over at the12volt.com (where the wireheads sometimes use push buttons in conjunction with alarm / security systems).

My buddy just installed one on his ford, man that thing is cool im going to do the same on my taco. Its so neat thta the only thing you need the key for is to unlock the steering wheel! thats so kool......
