I know that the new JK rubicons have front and rear lockers, but I was wondering if the TJ rubicons had lockers, kind of a dumb question but I'd like to know, thanks.
Yes, early ones used a low pressure air locker, I think the later ones had electric, but not sure. Either the front or the rear (don't remember which) was a limited slip when unlocked.
Are you thinking of using one of these axles for a SAS? Note that only the center section is a D44 - the outers are considerably weaker than a "true" D44. The center section is the same, so I would assume the gears/lockers could be moved over.
Note that there have been MANY reports of these lockers failing - the Jeep board I frequent (www.co4x4.org) doesn't seem too happy with them...
Anything that is a *RUBICON*will have front & rear (selectable) lockers - along with D44 in the front & the better t-case.
