The auto parts store down the road only has the Redline 75W90 gear oil in stock. Will this work over the MT-90 that everyone seems to be running?

MT-90 is designed to be used in the transmission. Most people run it in the transmission, and trans case. You want to put 75W90 in your diffs.

The MT-90 is a GL-4 and that, in MANY tests and opinions, works better in the Tacoma transmissions, than the GL-5. It's safe for brass synchros because it lacks the reactive sulfurs found in most GL-5 oils (which cause damage).
