Hey all, need some advice. I'm thinking about installing a 6" lift W/ 35" tires. I've heard that running over sized tires trashes the rack & pinion/steering gear. Has anyone had this problem? If yes, how did you solve it?
Are there any heavy duty after market steering set-ups available, I've looked with no success.
Maybe a unit from another make/model would fit? Something that will take the weight and size of the 35's and survive off-roading. ANY help/advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

Yes, the service life of the rack and pinion will be greatly reduced with bigger tires. No known upgrade to the rack that I'm aware of. There are aftermarket tie-rod end upgrades available.
