I think you guys can help me out here. Doing a SAS on a 98 4Runner and trying to decide what to do in the rear. I think i might try to modify the coil system but what coils do you guys suggest trying out to get as high as the front? Maybe landcruiser lift coils but will probably need a spacer?

By the way, going in the front is a waggy d44 with marlin 4 inch leafs. Plan on doing the standard ~2" drop hanger in the front and hang the shackles from the bottom of the frame.

One more thing, steering...ive read thru about everything on this site but dont know what is recomended, inverted T with parts mike or true crossover? Going to be a dd for a couple years...

Thanks for your help.

Basically anything will work, especially for the rear, its all about placement of the springs themselves and the buckets. I've seen stock El Camino coils used in the rear of trucks with similar weights. The farther out on the axle you can place them the more spring rate you will want to have, but will give better control. For the vertical components purpose, get something with a approx. 250-300 lbs./in. rate, any TJ lift coil is in that range, depends on how you like your ride. Use 4 or 5 inch lift coils. I used 9 inch TJ lift coils up front because there is more room to raise the buckets up. You will want to rethink the linkage system of the stock coils too for more strength at large flex.
