ok. i have a 99 taco 4x4 reg cab w/ trd limit slip.. my ?? is when taking off or backing up or making a right turn somthing in the rearend makes a squeal. like high pitch. i think it is a pinion bearing but i have been having a prob w/ my rear brakes locking up, then when i started to hear the squeal i checked th gear oil it was almost dry and when i pulled the check plug it had pressure on it.. because it makes a squeal in a turn i think it is a axle seal or bearing, but no rumble noise just squeal.. also how hot or warm should a rearend get?? after driving15min the third member is warm, not overly hot but pretty warm.... PLEASE help...

If you ran it low on gear dope you more than likely have damaged the friction plates in the limited slip diff. What type of gear oil did you put back in it. GL-5 ? Any additive?
