The ADD on my '02 3.4L 5spd w/ push button 4WD is busted. Not sure why. Is there anyone out there that has done or attempted an ADD rebuild?

What do you mean it's busted? Like did the splines like strip off the outer part of CV going into the hub, or is not not like shifting into 4wd? People are going to need more info to help you out.

Sorry, I'm talking about the actual actuator. I haven't taken it out yet, but it's the source of the problem.

Clean the connector and test to hear if it engages/disengages the fork-

You can test it with a 12 volt source on the bench - Its a 6 pin connector-
Using 2 pins (+/-) you can engage and reverse polarity to disengage-
Look in the FSM for the correct pins

In most cases- the motor burns out-
At that point- people just buy a replacement actuator-

Went through the FSM; the motor works but I couldn't get a resistance between terminal 2 or 6 and the body ground. It says to replace the actuator if the resistance isn't spec. but I figured I'd see if anyone has anything to say.

Measure the voltage coming out of the pig tail when you engage/disengage-

If you apply the 12V to the actuator and reverse poles to disengage- I'd expect everything to work- Maybe its a bad connection
Are you sure its not your 4wd relay?
