Any suggestions? looking for something common/universal that i can maybe pickup at my local wal-mart or auto parts store.

pics would be great.

my main purpose is to have an armrest to relax my arm on while shifting......don't need a TON of storage space but some would be nice.

i think they should have what you are looking for at most auto parts stores and online retailers.

I have tried a few of those. They all seem great at first, but on long trips my elbow would go numb, numb, numb. I could never find a really good padded one that was short enough. The best thing I have found is a nice rolled or folded fleece blanket and/or those little couch pillows. No storage or cup holders, but you can sit on them, hold them, or stuff them somewhere if you pick up a third person to ride in the middle.

yeah, what's funny is the whole reason i've started thinking about this and looking for something is from the few times i've had boxes sitting on my seat besiide me and i would use them for armrests........... made driving more enjoyable having that armrest.
