Looks cool, keep us posted on updates.

TrailCarnage did a swap long before Daniel so don't mind the sandyness of Kyle's vagina.

Well I finally got the cab off the frame and on to its new home. Seemed awful easy but I really havent got into all the fab work yet. Still have to fab the rear body mounts, fix my chopped up bed where the toolbox used to be, and weld those nice extended cab sliders on that duby was nice enough to leave on the frame. I think I'm gonna do the roll on paint mod that brain (generalee7) did in a interlux fire red or white. After that we still have got to exo from the rear of the bed up to the extended cab portion, then later on finish the whole thing.

I have Trailcranage pics too.. :D I thought I would let him know someone else has done it before if he has questions. Tom would be awesome but he went with a 2WD cab so he had to move the mounts.

would it be possible to run a bed with the extra cab? have a regular cab taco too and have been thinking about this swap for more space
I've heard that a double cab bed would fit with some fabbing...but it would be awful close...not to mention lining that axle up under the fenderwell.

There had been a D-cab bed posted in the Texas chapter that someone had found on craig's list for around $300...would be a cool conversion but like you said a pain to get the alignment right...looking forward to see your finished project

Looking real good there Bo! You are gonna cage this one right? If you need some help give me a call ahead of time and I will gladly scedule you in. Did you decide to keep the body lift? If so Why? You could have a much lower cog without it. There might be some clearance issues though, becouse of the reg cab frame and all.

DAMN YOU! I was hoping you wouldn't find this thread...I was gonna drive up and surprise you with it but so much for that:D Yea I'm gonna cage this one for sure, a grand everytime it tips would get old. Hopefully I wont need anymore help, I'm down to brakes and electronics and I'll have it done. Body lift had to stay..Tank clearance..I had to drop the tank 2", plus beat on the underside of the cab, and add a 1/2" to my rear body blocks. Surprisingly I'm not going to have to move the rear axle, i flexed pretty much til i was scooting the other rear tire and never honestly got close to the cab (about 2" or so). I'll be sure and drive up sometime this weekend or the first of next week and let you admire it :lmao:

I didnt move any either I just drilled through where the rear regular cab mounts go and left it at that...i mean if the center of the cab can support that big of a gap why cant from the driver seat back support that much..?

Drive? Heck just riding in it is a difference, I feel like I'm riding in a crew cab 2500 compared to a regular cab birdcage. I'm convinced now the wheelbase is so short it looks like a tacoma body on a wrangler frame...atleast it still only has one jeep part on it :D
