This is my first post here, so let me know if this would be more appropriate in the electrical section. I have a 2011 TRD OR that I used for trail-riding and camping.
I recently bought a nice waterproof relay/fuse box (6fuse/6relay). My plan was to run my lighting and other added accessories through this box to keep things tidy. I'm laying everything out today, and I get thinking, am I wasting time with putting relays on everything? I have Hella 500's that will pull 18A, so those will need a relay. But otherwise, between fogs, shower pump, fridge, etc, nothing has a draw higher than 4A.
If i were to add any lights, they'd be LED, which is low power draw. So would I be better off to keep it simple and just use a fuse box with appropriately sized switches, and skip the relays to save space and keep it simple?
