Im replacing the 3 belts on my 99 v6, and cannot get the pulley underneath to adjust... I cant get the belt to loosen at all. Is there a lock bolt? where? Thanks for any quick help

The alternater is the easiest. There is a bolt on the top you loosen slightly (for it to pivot), and there is a bolt underneath you loosen that lets it move.cluster1ne said:Im replacing the 3 belts on my 99 v6, and cannot get the pulley underneath to adjust... crack the pully bolt loose on the ac tensioner.. that will allow you to adjust it up and down...cluster1ne said:the ac, im sorry. I found the tensioner underneath, but not the lock bolt. Is it the bolt that holds the pulley on?
