Im replacing the 3 belts on my 99 v6, and cannot get the pulley underneath to adjust... I cant get the belt to loosen at all. Is there a lock bolt? where? Thanks for any quick help

which bolt? theres alot of them

the ones for the PS or the alternator or the ac?

the ac, im sorry. I found the tensioner underneath, but not the lock bolt. Is it the bolt that holds the pulley on?

The alternater is the easiest. There is a bolt on the top you loosen slightly (for it to pivot), and there is a bolt underneath you loosen that lets it move.

The power steering and AC use an adjuster bolt, that moves it back and forth.

Basically just loosen the main bolts that hold it on and fiddle with it til you get it

crack the pully bolt loose on the ac tensioner.. that will allow you to adjust it up and down...

Thanks alot, i got it done. Probably would of have been a hell of alot easier if some of those bolts had ever been removed before... Thanks again for the help
