I use a pair of vice grips on the shaft and a socket and a racket on the top. If you are replacing them you need to replace them with the gabriels. The t/m struts suck mine lasted like 3 months. And then I drove on them making harsh ass noises for about 6 more months.

I must have a problem with mine b/c I drive a 95 taco with the 6" trailmaster lift and I can only go 2.5" over the lift and I'm out of alignment. I see that your using a 3" cb spacer on your I couldn't do that with mine.

Tell me what you think about this I'm making some peices at a machine shop to lean my 2nd strut in futher towards the coils to give me more alignment. Is there anything that is going to give me a problem doing this. The guy at the offroad shop said it sounded mine to him. I'm only leaning it in about a 1/2 to 3/4 of and inch. I have a 3" bodylift 6" t/m lift with custom made 7" spacer to replace the 6" t/m one and 1.5" Northwest offroad coils. I'm going to be putting my new tires on soon 38x15.50x15 I'm tring to get as high as possible and still be good and safe.
