looks pretty cool, but their other bumpers look like they would weigh a ton, hopefully these wont be excessively heavy. It does look like a pretty nice design though, even though the middle hangs down a bit low (then again its hard to tell from those drawings)

The Road Armor bumper base weighs 145 lbs. Adding the Sport Guard (grille protection) adds 65 lbs. This is for fullsize trucks, so it would be logical to think that the Tacoma bumper would be lighter.

An ARB Bull Bar weighs around 80 lbs for a Jeep.

A winch can weigh anywhere from 70 to almost 140 lbs.

I would side with the Road Armor on strength in every aspect. It looks modern, too.

I can see by their other prices that there's no way I'm gonna be getting one of those, but they sure do look nice. I wonder if what they release will be for the '05 Tacoma, and if it would retrofit to the Tacomas from 95.5-04. Definitely a nice looking design.

Well, the price isn't too outrageous. There is really no other Tacoma bumper to compare it to, other than the ARB, by a long shot. This is far beyond a tubular pre-runner bumper.

I would imagine that it will fit all Tacomas, though the '98-'00 trucks may require frame modification, like they do for other bumpers.

If it is like any other of there bumpers it will be huge.

Yeah, the Brawler has been brought up before. It is in use on the Ultimate Adventure Tacoma. Very nice looking, but it needs some grille protection, which I'm sure they have already thought of.

It will be bigger than other Tacoma bumpers, but it's supposed to be. This is the kind of bumper that you can hit a deer with and not think twice about it.

I think the size of the bumpers came out of necessity as they are designed to make very tall trucks fit within the restrictions of lift laws, in regards to bumper height.

I don't think any other Tacoma bumper will compare to the Road Armor one.

That's a lot of bumper for the money.

I'm not going to save any money for one, but if I randomly happen across a few thousand dollars, I might look into getting one.

ARB or TJM is my choice, they fit the bill at under $1000.

Holy crap. I'm looking for a new bumper right now and love the look of it, but I can scrap 2 bumpers for probably the price of one of those ;)

But dang, talk about something folks would notice before they run into you on-road, and the deer getting startled before you hit them anywhere...

I look forward to seeing the actual product on the Taco/Tundra. Their site shows some super sick bumpers for the new F-150's. Hopefully they'll do some Nissan Titan bumpers as well. Only thing is, I like the looks of their stuff, but wish is was downsized by 2-3% so it wouldn't look sooo massive. Their designs are killer, though. Their site shows their manufacturing process, but doesn't say what thickness material they use, or give the weights of the finished product.
