I broke my watch the other day and one of the parts went flying and I couldn't find it. It is a Seiko SDWE53P and I need help with the offical name of the part indicated by the red line in the picture so that when I call Seiko, I can identify it for them.

That is, unless somebody has a part number for the thing which then I may have to send them beer money.

The watch in the picture is the SDWE51P, which is nearly identical to the SDWE53P.

I think you will find that is considered to be be part of the band, not the watch itself. I have heard it called the "spring bar cover" and if you just get a new band, it will have one attached at each end.

The watch ends at the spring bar "lugs" and the band begins there.

BTW, nice timepiece!

I have shopped around for watch bands and none of them come with this little cover. It is model specific.

I'm kind of nervous how much Seiko is going to charge me for this piece.

Thanks for your help!
