shackle length determination

im looking to achieve 2-2.5 inches of lift using rear shackles, preferably greaseable ones. can anyone help me out ? also does anyone know how you figure out how much lift a shackle will give ( if its 2 inches over stock does it give 2 inche of lift?) sorry if this is a stupid Question...

Shackle Length

Half the length the shackle is extended is the amount of actual lift you will get. For example, a shackle extended 3" over stock actually gives you 1.5" of lift. So you would need 4"-5" extended shackles for your 2"-2.5" of lift. Search the forum for shackle and it should turn up quite a few different types.
