Hey all,

I searched and looked through tons of pics but can't find the answer to a dumb question...

I just got some new rear extended travel shocks and they came with the accordion looking rubber dust cover thing. Is it really necessary to put this dust cover on the shocks? I kind of like the way they look without them but don't want dirt/mud to ruin my shocks...

Thanks,
jd

i think that those hold mroe crap inn than keep out.

The only reason to cover a shock or coilover isd in desert racing apps where rocks are kicked up at them causing damage

So running without boots will not open up the shocks for unnecesary wear and tear? Are they pretty resilient to having mud all over them and such? I was wondering the same thing but have the boots on anyway although I prefer the look without.
