Im looking for a rear shock relocating kit. I thought that I seen one somewhere a while back. The kit came with a piece of 1" or 2" square stock for a cross member to mount the shocks towards the center, mounting points for the bottom of the shock on the rear and mounting points for the square stock......any info on where to find this kit if it even exists or a site that has a detailed how to section would be great. Thanx

I haven't found a top shock mount already made for the rear. Most people that have relocated the shocks have made their own mount....which takes time but isn't impossible. But if your relocating your shocks, you should do a U-Bolt Flip, and Marlin Crawler has the kit for it. It comes with the rear axle mounts but you need to fab up the upper mount. By flipping the U-Bolts in the rear you will gain a little more ground clearance where they used to be, and you can mount your shocks in a better positino for better dampening?

Downey has one also. They are a sponsor on the board... look it up. You do need a welder....

Hey Paul, I'm hoping to go down to Kartek next weekend, can you list what I need hardware-wise when we do my relocation? You said you'd give me a shopping list :)

will do...i myself have been tossing the idea around for quite some time and now im deciding to do it. ill take pics as im doing it and post them when im done

Demello also sells one that includes a top shock mount crossmember. The stock rear shocks can limit suspension travel and as such can become overextended/compressed. This depends also on how flexy your leaf springs are, how much lift / how it's lifted. If you relocate, try to mount your shocks as close to the stock configuration as possible (vertical and close to the wheel). If you do more rockcrawling it's not as much of an issue but for haulin ass you want to maximize shock performance.
