I lead a tiny little group up from Trona To Butte Valley and back and it was a wonderfully mellow and relaxing trip to one of my favorite places. An uneventful trip but for my broken antenna mount. We saw all the usual sites, and I snuck off to go see about a few new ones for another trip (heee heee).

Hey Dennis - I see you stopped at The Joint in Randsburg. Have you met Olga who runs the place? Apparently she turns 100 on Sept 24 - her family is throwing her a private party. I'm hearing the Joint will be serving birthday cake in her honor, every weekend in September.

Looks like a killer trip!

We didn’t stop in The Joint and I do not think I have been there. Been over to the Saloon but on this trip we ate at the General Store. Free cake though, might need to schedule something out that way! We stopped on our way by, because it is better to spend a little money in Randsburg than at Subway or something along 395!
It was a great trip, slow and relaxing, no rush or drama at all. Just a great place with great folks.
