Hey man looks great. I GREATLY appreciate the deal on the front diff.. I got inspired after the fix.. Built front & rear bumpers & bobbed the bed in the last 2 weeks. Not to mention a helluva lotta ridin' ! I'll send a pic of the mods soon. Thanks again.

I built them myself. I think the steal ran around $90. There was some left over though. Steal prices are just so high now days.

Man you suck. I haven't got to go wheelin in quite a while. No problem about the diff. I am just glad it worked out for you. Hopefully we get my buddies 4-runner going this week. If we do we plan on going down to Turkey Bay to test it out. Just some close by mild wheelin to break it in. Check out this beautiful pick of the just rebuilt Chevy 350 going in. We still have to do the wiring and install the ford explorer radiator, but it is getting there. At least ready for a trail test. It still has a crap load more work to be done to it though.

Yeah a blower now wouldn't that be nice. Actually we have detuned the motor from the way we got it. It is punched .40 over. We went back to the stock cam, got rid of the high rise intake replaced it with the edelbrock performer and topped it with a 650 edelbrock 650 cfm carb. Trying to keep reliabilty and avoid excessive torque. We did however keep the roller rockers.

Very nice slider-rear cage design. I'm takin a fab class at the local college this semester. Lookin forward to making some bumpers/rear hitch. No front axle for me though.

Is that block painted silver or is it aluminum??? One more thing, whats the deal with the valve covers off?

Well, atleast you will have the sexiest exhaust note on the trail.

Yes it is painted silver. The valve covers are off to save weight. :D No really the valve covers are off to clear the hoist chain. Don't worry they are on now. As for the exhaust tone well it is very slight. He had a stock (Cat, Stock chevy muffler, single pipe) system installed. He liked the thought of kinda a sleeper. But it is kinda hard to hide the 350 with chrome headers and no inner fenderwells though. I still bet some people won't catch on.

is it up and running yet (your new motor)? If i run into you on Madison street somewhere , please feel free to light-it-up! I bet you could really dart up a steep hill with that. What are you gonna do with that other thing in your driveway? Its so far away from the street i cant tell what it is .
Hey , i was looking at your pic , are you gonna have to modify your steering linkage for more clearance for the new engine.

No the motor is not going in my Taco. The other thing in my Driveway is green 4-runner. When things started getting shady at Hostile Offroad we moved both our things back to my house. Including the 4 runner. Where it has sat for the last 6 months waiting on funds. Now the funds are there and we are ready to get it finished. We hope to trail test it Saturday. Maybe out at Turkey Bay. As for the steering linkage everything works. He is still using the toy IFS steering box with the chevy drag link setup. Hey man feel free to stop by and check things out. If you see my truck there we are usually there out in the garage working on something.

cool , but here lately all i seem to do is work.I am saving up for a welder to try and start some sliders and such. My taco is still under warranty so i am a little carefull on what i do until warranty runs out. Yeah i seen that runner sitting there for a while . My brother and i took both our truck to Turkey bay a while back and all we could do was mud bog ,, the water was so high and the main trails were so tight. I used to havbe a yamaha 250 and would tear the trails up but my taco is too new to tear up right yet .Maybe after i get my welder and make so plates i'll be on the big trails with ya'll. That aluminum transmissin is so soft that rocks will eat right through it if i land on it . I'm gonna make me some thicks skid plates and a good pair of sliders .
