Hey guys...It's that time again for a tune up. I'm starting off by replacing the spark plugs and the spark plug wires. I've always used NGK Plugs so i'm going to stick with those, but I would like to upgrade my wires. The stock wires on the 3.4L are very small and I would like to upgrade to some....8.5mm? Just wondering if you guys have done the same, and I would like to know how you like them?

Thanks,
Kaleo

I haven't had any personal experience yet, but from what I've read on here and other forums the crowd favorite seems to be to stick with the stock plug wires. Maybe just replace the factory ones with another set of factory wires that are brand new.

I'm sure others will chime in as well. I know over at www.customtacos.com there are lots of plug wire posts. A lot of those guys have upgraded their wire sets.

magnecore wires seem to be the best around. you can order 8 mm or 8.5 mm. I just threw a set on my wife's land rover discovery combined with the bosch plat +4 and there was an immideate throttle response.

Although i wouldnt use the bosch's on the tacoma, stick with the ngk's. good luck and go to http://www.magnecor.com for the wires.
