How often should you replace your spark plugs. And what plugs are the best for our trucks? Currently I have 50,000 miles, do I need to replace them?

I'm not sure about the interval, though I change mine about every 30k. It's best to stick with NGK/Denso plugs.

Which is better NGK, or Denso? And besides mileage is there any way to know when you need to change them? Like if your truck idles rough or something of that sort?

NGK or Denso are fine. The plugs I got at the dealer were Denso's and the plugs I took out were NGK's. I know some new Toyota's came with 3 of each kind, but dont' think there was a real reason for it. If the plugs are bad the truck might run funny, but probably not till after a lot of miles. 30k is a good time to change them and I think that's what the manual recommends.

My 00 4 runner still has the original plugs in it at 110k. It actually runs fine, but I'm going to change them when I do the timing belt thats already like 30k overdue. Nothing like my 79 fj40, have to change the plugs in that every 10k or so.
