Sorry,

This is pertaining to 05's only.
I just noticed mine doing the same thing starting last week (~2500 mi). I thought it was the return spring loosing some grease. I will look at it some time later this week and see if it is something simple or actually the bushing.

Mine just started to do it sometime for the first couple of hits. 13000 miles on it. I got a friend that has one and his started with less than 3k miles. Looks like we didnt complain about it being broken enough with the last generation truck.

has anyone gotten this fixed ? my '05 with 7,5xx miles started it about 500 miles ago. annoying as heck. i've put some lithium grease on the metal shaft that goes into the firewall. works for a day or so, then starts making noise again.

Someone with an '05 needs to check to make sure the clutch set-up is the same as previous generations... if it is SEARCH.. if it's not, go ahead and take advantage of that warranty.

Have you checked to see if they changed their clutch setup under the dash?
Substantially. The new design uses a cantilever pushrod, it's quite stupid actually but I had to have a six speed :D .

The last time I took mine in, the dealer mechanic greased the pushrod so that it doesn't squeak or groan through the floor bushing. Not working, there appears to be a problem with this generation of clutch MC / bracket as well... I'm going to the dealer that I bought it from and leave it there for a week, they (Tim's in Prescott) can figure out and fix it permanently. I hope anyhow.

BTW, greasing the pushrod helps enormously for about three months, but you'll have to lube it over and over again, not so good. Other than this little PITA, this is a neat street queen 4WD.

Don't use lithium based grease. Use a silicone based grease for the steel pushrod through what appears to be teflon or delrin on the seal.

I have about 4k on my 05 and no squeaking yet. I've had it for about 3 months and it has been sitting for the past 2 months. It might just a similar problem like the paint problem. The first ones to come off the line were rushed and then messed something up in the install.

Yeah mine does it and I can feel the squeaks the pedal when I push it in or when I release it. I put some grease on the rod and the spring and all quiet for now but I will have the dealership check it out next time I'm in for service.
