So my bother was not paying attion and drove his pathfider off the road into a a big deep ass puddle and the water covered the whole passenger side of the hood and then the car died. He did not suck up any water into the engine but he had his starter under water for 6 min until he could find someone to pull him out. I was wanting to know if the starter will dry out or is he going to have to get a new one? I know its not a toyota but I was hopeing someone might know something about it. Thanks any input would be great.

It will proably dry out. If it's got mud in it, or it was salt water, that could be a problem so it may be worthwhile to take it out and check it.
