So I'm considering the Stubbs "basic" sliders

http://www.stubbswelding.com/simple.gif

I have some crap home made ones that I just took off. I like how simple these are, but I'm curious about the strength. Does not having the double parallel tube make any difference for strength?

Anyone running these and given them a fair beating? I'd love to hear about it.

Thanks for the help,

Rob

i have the next ones up from basic....i dont see how they would be any less strong. the extra bar just provides more armor. i recommend the double bar. if you never wheel off-camber, than the single "basic" ones will be fine. but youll want the extra bar if you have to pivot around a rock, slip off a rock and catch another one, etc. the pic on stubb's page of the white taco is mine. ive bashed the hell out of em and never hit my rockers or sides. jmho. i dont work for stubbs or anything like that...im just a very happy customer of theirs.

You get what you pay for. If you wheel on the light side, the basics should work fine. But like Hammer said, if you get all crossed up, you wll be happy to have the next tougher set. :2cents:
