disconnecting it will give more flex and more flex is almost always better. The ifs front suspension has limited flex when compared to a solid axle so any help is good in my opinion.

mine is an everyday driver. i saw a quick disconnect in the sales side of this site, but it was for older swaybars. i didnt know if it made a big deal or not cause his jeep is SFS and mine is IFS. thanks for the info.

I wouldn't pay much for disconnects. I haven't ran a sway bar in a year, and it's fine driving on the road.

disconnecting the SB will give you about 2" more articulation overall (left to right) as well as softening the ride off road. The 3rd gen trucks like yours don't really have a good aftermarket disco kit but many just pull the link with one bolt and one nut...takes maybe 5 min before you start a trail.

As for leaving the SB off for the street....not a good idea. There will be that one time you have to make an emergency maneuver...our trucks are prone to roll-over stock, much less lifted ;)

Shoot me an e-mail at bronor(at)gmail.com and I'll e-mail you back with pics and instructions for some swaybar disconnects I made for around $20.00.
