i just ordered a TPS for my 2001 prerunner v6 from toyotapartsales.com because i've been getting a hesitation after i press on the gas. I cleaned the throttle bottle all the way to about 2 inches past the butterfly. i plan on taking the whole unit off and cleaning more of it along with replacing the D gasket with the O. i hope that will fix it. the sensor is 38.40. cheapest and only i've seen online

this might be besides the point, but have you guys gotten a code for the TPS to know thats the problem for sure? i was having some problems with hesitation and sputtering and it turned out to be my upstream o2 sensor. i thought it was my TPS sensor as well, but wasnt. just a thought...
