I'm in the planning stages of adding some storage inside the back of my 04 Xcab.

Who here has ripped out that rear cushion and/or seats? I wanna get a grasp on what to expect before i start tearing into it.

My plan is to clear it out to make a nice flat mounting surface below rear window to mount a storage system. If I have to remove the whole plastic section I will, but was looking for ways around that.

All I really need is 6 solid mounting locations. So maybe just cut the plastic in these areas (instead of ripping the whole thing out) to mount some anchors with self tappers in the metal?????

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

as far as I know, you have to remove one thing to get to another and so on. Its really not that hard to take the back pieces off. just start with the top trim piece and work your way down. Be firm but gentle.

Hmmm....I've heard that before :D

I actually forgot I even posted this. I got it figured out over the weekend. Didn't totally rip into it, but I actually spent some time and looked at it a bit closer.

Thanks for the reply
