Just installed on a new, 2014 Tacoma regular cab 4x4 2.7. I notice the difference.....I think it's more of a weight issue than a gearing issue, (load range D). The tires, (Un sprung weight) can be felt, but overall, the 2.7 can pull them. Kinda like tennis shoes to boots. I haven't taken them off road yet, (that is where I need a tough tire), but on the street, they seem to accelerate slower. But not bad. It's a 2.7, I knew what I wanted, and it's what I got. The tire feels very solid, (overkill) under the little truck. I hope they stand up to the sharp rocks here in the Mojave. We will see.
