Dose anyone know the thread size on a 1995 Tacoma Manual.
My tap and die only goes to 12 / 1.5 and 1.75.

A 1/2 is a little loose so I was thinking 13mm but snap-on dose not sell a 13mm, so is it a 14mm by 1.5 or 1.75.

Thanks
Mark

Shifter / knob thread size on later Tacomas (and I believe extending back all the way into the pre-Taco era) is M12 X 1.25 (12mm 'fine').

12 mm will not fit, I tried both 1.5 and 1.75 and it will not start ( to small ) I guess I will go buy a 14mm and try that.

Thanks for the post.

Like EnolaGaia said: From 95.5 upto 2002 I'm positive their M12 X 1.25.
Don't know why your tap wont fit, unless you've got some odd adaptor or changed shifters.

It is 12mmx1.25 on my 98 tacoma std. cab 4x4...I just tapped out my hurst t-handle shifter and it works great now. Unless earlier tacomas have a different size maybe, not sure?!
