Ok, first off, what you posted isn't anywhere close to what the dealer will do. Second, there is no real need to remove the throttle body housing to perform this service.

Remove the intake plenum so you can see into the throttle body
Take some throttle body cleaner and spray it all around in there
Using a brass brush, clean around the inside of the throttle body in all areas you can reach (Dont drop the brush!)
Switch between brushing and spraying the throttle body to clean out everything you can reach
Once everything is clean, close it back up and start the engine
Run the engine for about 3-5 minutes to warm it up
Run Seafoam or similar cleaner (BG products has a nice alternative to the Seafoam) through the PCV vacuum line (don't dump the whole thing in at once, the liquid should really be released slowly to prevent possible hydrolock)
Your done

Thats what the dealer will do

Just a few things to add to this:

To my understanding the intake plenum is the two piece aluminum thing after throttle body. I think you mean the black rubber tube before the TB.

I forgot where I read this, but putting a rag on the bottom of flap works well to both keep the flap open and collect the gunk you will be removing with the TB cleaner.

just did it... took off the hose, sprayed stp throttle body cleaner, opened throttle plate, inserted rag, brushed everywhere and sprayed and brushed til everything was clean, re-assembled, ran 1/3 can of seafoam through the pcv, hotboxed the neighborhood, and saved myself a bunch of cash! thanks again fellas. next week is the fuel filter and injector cleaner.

btw, that seafoam stuff really works! my engine is so much smoother now. i noticed it right away. feels like my audi.
