Time to replace shocks

I haven't been around here since I purhcased my 2000 TRD back in 99. This place looks much better these days.

I remember some posts about the standard Bilsteins were better than the TRD/Bilsteins. Well, my truck now has 100K on it and it's time to replace. What shocks do you guys suggest if not the Bilsteins. What about best place to purchase them? Thanks for any info.

i've got a 2000 as well with 98 k miles,i just replaced my stock shocks with some aftermarket bilsteins,i got all 4 off ebay for $278 shipped..this is my first set of bilsteins and dude there is a huge differance in the ride, rides A LOT Better...good luck on whatever shocks you chose.

I just got the same deal off of ebay. Buy It Now for 256 + 20 shipping from the seller motorsportsdirect. Did you get yours from the same seller? What did you pay for installation?

yes i bought the shocks from the same seller,i did the job myself, except for putting the coils on the new front shocks,i took the olds ones off(fully assembled)carried them to midas and had the dude there install the old coils onto the new shocks for $5 ea. then installed them myself,it's really pretty simple..like the other guy posted..but if you don't feel good about doing it yourself get someone else to do it for you.the rear shocks you can do yourself, just 2 17mm bolts per shock.
