From what I gathered here, CT and the local shops 3 inches will allow 33s on stock rims....

I assume you are trying to run this on a tacoma? If so, you will probably have a whole lot of rubbing, especially if you go with 33x12.50. I rubbed with 5" of lift and 33x12.50s. If the 3" lift is all you are getting i would go with 32s. You could add a 3" Cornfed suspension lift (about $350) and run 33s with no problems at all.

I ran 285/75 with only a 3" BL on stock wheels for a little while. They rubbed on the frame at full turn and if you hit any kinf of bump at a sharp turn they would rub the front or back of the fender.
