Alright I'm wanting a tire just a little bigger than stock (265/70/16) for when I lift my truck. Don't think I want a 33"(285/75/16) something maybe around a 32 for a my 3" lift. Is that about a 275/75/16? or what?

wider and higher.

section width/aspect ratio
265mm / 75%

the width is 265mm approx. 10.4"
the sidewall height is 75% of the section width approx 198.75mm approx 7.8"
sidewall times 2 = 15.6+rim height (16")= 31.6" high

a 275/75 is approx 10.8" wide and approx 32.2" high

265/75-16 will fit on your truck with no lift. Just put BFG A/T's on last week. Went wheeling and they rubbed one time and I couldn't do it again to find out where it was rubbing. Soooo...if you wanna put a lift on it, this size is the smallest you should get. Thought about lifting 3" and going a lil bigger but I like where I'm at right now. Just need to find out where it rubbed.

About the best thing you can do is look at the tire manufactures specs. A lot of tires may say one size on the sidewall but end up being bigger or smaller. I have a set of super swampers that are only 32's but are as big as most peoples 33's

Very true. I have wildcat ext 33/12.50/15 and they only measure 31 3/4" high and 11" wide on a 8" wide rim. I had those tires mounted on a 10" wide rim and they acutally seemed bigger cuz they hit my front mud flaps when I turned. Like Ben said it does also depend on the brand of tire. I have a 3" lift and wouldn't go with a smaller tire.

I have the Toytec lift and I just got the add a leaf in the back from the newer tacos which gives it a 3" lift instead of a 2.5".
