just went wheeling at pismo dunes for the first time today! I think I am hooked. I have a 04 tacoma 4x4 stock. What kind of tire would be best for sandy dunes but also for the street. I am looking to do a 3" lift with possibly some 285/75/16. Thanks!

From what I have seen, bald all-terrain tires aired down to about 5PSI work great.

as some mentioned earlier...aired down bald AT's work great. i had about 1/16" of tread and at 8psi i was still beating V8's up comp hill. I have BFG MT's now, and they actually arent as bad as i thought they would be, still work pretty good when aired down. if you're hooked on the dunes, get a good set of coilovers like donahoes or camburgs and stay away from spacers. do you live around pismo?
