The lift is goin on and the new tires are comin in tomorrow and i just realized something. I currently have 265/75 and and there is about 3/4 inch b/t the tire and the control arm. Would it rub the control arm if I put the 285's on or do i need to get some spacers. oh yeah BS on the rim is 4 inches.

If it is in the budget, get new wheels instead of spacers. You will be much happier in the long run.

It won't take much back spacing to get the rubber off the arms. maybe as little as 3.75"s or 3.5"s. I run 2.75 but I like my wheels to stick out a bit more than the average joe!

What lift?

My 3" toytec (or any 3" lift) clears the BJ's with room to spare. 32X11.5 on 3.625 BS

you will be fine. i have had 33x12.5r15 bfg muds and all terrains on my 01 taco with 2 different sets of wheels. one had 3.75" and current ones have 4" with about a thumbs width to the upper arm.

I have General LT285/75R16 Tire.
What is the difference between say 2.75 vs a 4.5, which one will give more clearance from the control arm?
With a 4.5 backspace will the tire stick out noticeably from the fender well?
