You're kidding, right??? Those whirlybird hats from kids birtday parties give more power. A TRD sticker will give more power. Better you crumple up a beer can, and stuff it in your intake than spend $30-50 on that thing. Try a search...look up, top of the screen. Right next to the quick links and new posts... ;)

This could get ugly...

The Tornado has been proven to work on some engines, however feedback from Tacoma owners says it is not worth the money. There is no quantifiable horsepower or MPG gains. You will probably get better results from a deckplate mod or an Amsoil air filter.

You might want to read over this post as well: http://www.tacomaterritory.com/forum/showthread.php?t=662&highlight=Tornado

$70 is pretty high for something that looks like I could build with some tin snips and a sheet of ducting.

It's probably like putting playing cards held on by clothes pins between ;) the spokes of a bike. Made for great sound but didn't make you go any faster. HAhahhahhaaa great post~~~!!!

Doesn't do a dang thing really. Sure, it will induce a turbulent swirl that in theory can help do all the things it claims.

Problem is that almost all of that nice "vortex" action disappears as soon as it flows over the butterfly in the throttlebody/carb! Or if you try mounting behind the TB, the flow has to go through so much piping and sharp corners that again..nearly all extra turbulence is lost. Thats why factory designs for "swirl inducers" have the design cast into the head, just before the valve. Chevy Vortec engines come to mind for this.

I read an aritcle on it once. Worked for an LT-1 camaro. Gained about 1-2hp. In most cars, it didn't do anything, and even had a negative effect on a few.
