I just installed a new valve cover gasket on my 2.7L 3RZ-FE, and I don't know what to torque these 10 bolt too.. Anyone know? (As a guess, it's probably 50 or 60 inch lbs., right?) :)

Yes, 4 to 5 ft-lbs (same thing) is about right. No more than that. The FSM and Haynes manuals don't list a torque for the 4 cyl valve cover bolts for some reason.

Thanks for the info!

Yeah, I checked my Chilton and they didn't list anything for the 3RZ, they had lots of stuff for the 22R/22RE, though.. :rolleyes:

I'm just going to call the service dept. at my local Stealer tomorrow and ask them, just to be certain. ;)

I have a new valve cover to install myself and was just wanting to know
