Just go by feel and make sure to sparingly hit up the plug threads w/ antisieze.
go by feel means:wHen the torque needed to keep tightening the plug starts to exponentially rise is the point at which you should stop.
20 ft-lbs is a little rich. I always thought the washer was crushed good around 15. BUt you got some fudge factor there, probably.
I hate helicoils, tho, so watch it..
